Just a question: anyone ever notice how highly rationalistic people are also often extremely rigid and angry people?
Not just rational, but rationalistic? And not just angry, but rigidly angry? I mean, what is it about rationalism and anger?
Why is it that rationalism and an extreme uptight anger are so often joined at the hip?
Life isn't always rational. Since they aren't omnipotent, something invariably conflicts with their perception. It would make any rational person super-angry to be thwarted all the time.
ReplyDeleteOooo ... I forgot how fun it is to mess with their heads. For example, I love to play Bridge with Richard-the-extremely-rational-friend (alhough I despise Bridge in general). About half-way through the bidding his head will explode as he announces "YOUR BID MAKES NO SENSE" while flailing. I'll look at him angelicly, "But thats what I want to bid."
ReplyDeleteHe's also a lot of fun at Spades, and Hearts. It makes him even more twisted that I often win!
