It just occurred to me. Leftists, ordinarily so blasé and so laissez faire over flag burnings, could be made to shed real tears (and not just crocodile tears) if you were to burn... a United Nations flag.
I can just see them now, shrieking, raging, sputtering, indignant, and possessed of a strange new vexillophilia.
That's a great idea. It began here. But it won't end here. I promise you that!

ReplyDeleteHey, I just realized that this could backfire on us. (Backfire, a pun, heh.) Creating a market for U.N. flags. Publicizing the U.N. flag, maybe making it popular...I dunno.
On the other hand, what the heck.
"United Nations flag burning in the city square at 3:00 this afternoon. There will be no refreshments served during the flag burning, though for those who wait around afterwards, there will be Coffee Anon."
