Cold Redux
No point in trying to deny it any longer: that cold I came down with earlier in the week, which had been gradually and steadily improving, has staged a comeback. Dang! I wanted to head out to a taco supper and a basketball game this evening. But I think I'd better go lie down instead, and do that recuperation thing...

Chicken soup! Or egg drop wonton soup mixed!
Just do it!
Yeah, I opened a can of chicken chunks ("white meat in water"), heated them up, made up a Ramen noodles chicken-flavored Instant Lunch, mixed it all together. (Closest to chicken soup I had on hand.)
I get annoyed when a cold just won't back off. First inclination is to go out and do things anyhow. But that would just prolong it further...
If I feel a hint -- a hint -- of a cold coming on, I go to one of the many Chinese restaurants in my area and buy a quart of egg drop wonton soup mixed. I do this every day and otherwise stay home until the cold symptoms go away -- usually one or two days. Once every few years.
