Imitation Is the Sincerest Form, Etc.
Well, here's an interesting one. In a blog post yesterday I wrote:
I've been ignoring the loud ads for the new Blogger on my admin pages now for months ("Your New Blogger Is Ready!!!").Now this morning I was hunting around on Google Blogsearch to see what other people had to say about the enforced march to the New Blogger, and I run across a blog post dated today in which someone else says:
I've been ignoring the loud ads for the new Blogger on my admin pages now for months ("Your New Blogger Is Ready!!!").Not by way of quoting me, you see; but simply opening her blog post with these as her own words.
Curiouser and curiouser! In my post yesterday, I wrote:
Well, when I tried to log into my blog admin page this morning, I found I was given no choice but to upgrade to the New Blogger.This other blogger, in a comment to her own post today, wrote:
I just tried to log into my blog admin page and I found I was given no choice but to upgrade to the New Blogger.I guess like they say, imitation is the sincerest form, et cetera.

I'm guessing non-english-typing tween? But you're right ... imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery. Me? I get no imitators. I can't even get a troll! (lol ... sometimes I crack myself up)
Yeah, that would be my guess: young person, living somewhere in the Middle East, English no doubt not her first language. I guess I should feel flattered. Though it's more like I'm just somehow left scratching my head...
Meanwhile, be glad that neither you nor I have drawn any trolls. The longer I hang around the blogosphere— eh, going on four and a half years now?— the more I find that even lurking and silently watching trolls at work on other blogs raises my blood pressure...
